You have a healthy relationship with social media-well done! Congratulations! Pyschologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10% of Americans meet the criteria for social media addition today. But luckily, that's not you! Not checking social media every few minutes doesn't make you feel anxious, as you prefer to live in the moment rather than through your apps. You use social media to your advantage, at work and to connect with friends and family, but you know when to put it away. Keep it up!
I consider myself to be very disciplined when it comes to using social media and the results were on point. Moving forward, I plan to do the same and maybe just use it when it is really necessary.
About 84% of people in America use Youtube, am among the number reported in the findings. Mostly when am online, you will definitely find me scrolling on YouTube shorts. The statistics provided shows which online platforms do Americans most commonly use.
Social Media has made family and friends ties to be much stronger, simply because it is now easier to communicate to people who are all over the world. An example, when I relocated to the US, I was in communication with my family and friends through WhatsApp and FaceTime. In marketing and business world, social media has been very impactful because people are able to sell their products and services online and come up with different strategies on how they can advertise their products. On the negative side, social media has brought about social comparison among people and sleep disruptions due to late nights scrolling on phones and the fear of missing out.
It is important to limit my time when using social media and focus on the positive side on how social media can be beneficial to me. Sometimes someone becomes aware of what is happening in the world because of social media, it is never that bad. This project has helped me evaluate myself on social media.
