Sailing

This is a link to Leonardtown High school's rankings in Fall of 2018. In this league, we sail Flying juniors (Fjs) and 420s, which are two person dinghies. Sailing is the kind of sport that I will be able to continue all my life, and the friends I have made while sailing are some of the best people I know. I hope to keep sailing throughout college and life in the future.

This is the team video from the spring of 2017 sailing season. This is not the most recent, but it shows drone footage of one of our practices.

Fall 2018

This season was the first time anyone from our sailing center had ever made it to Gold Fleet, which is the qualifier regatta to move on to Nationals. This season, we placed 3rd at the state qualifiers, which made us the top public school in Maryland, and qualified us to move on to Gold fleet, where we placed 11th. At Gold fleet (hosted in Hampton, VA), LHS sailing faced teams from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
