Lumbermill Blade Sharpener

I built this blade sharpener using a HF chain sharpener and a DC gear motor to index the blade. Getting the cam shape correct was probably the hardest part. I was unsuccessful in using math to derive the key dimensions of the cam so it ended up being very much an empirical process to get the size and shape correct.

The HF grinder has no tilt feature so I fixed it to sharpen the 10 deg blades I use. If you want to sharpen other angle blades you should buy a sharpener with a tilt feature.
