Bath Vanity: Over the years, water splashed onto the doors and drawers of this vanity had damaged the finish. It looked pretty ugly, but they were fine structurally, so I stripped off the old lacquer finish and stain and refinished them with an oil/varnish wiping varnish. It looks like a new cabinet again. https://goo.gl/photos/9zoBzLfeuhr1Xhoy5

Bath Cabinet: I built this cabinet as a companion to the refinished vanity. The doors are made with quarter sawn red oak, and the cabinet was dyed to closely match the vanity.https://goo.gl/photos/scESHr6bDtj6ja25A

Brick Segmented Bowl: This is a cherry and maple bowl that I made as a present for two friends. https://goo.gl/photos/AbWX9EV8Ttytobmz6

Stave Segmented Bowl: Another cherry and maple bowl, but way more complicated, that I made for a wedding present. https://goo.gl/photos/93YPafzBVJTUn6ku9

Bathroom Wardrobe:

This cabinet was quite a challenge. At 82" x 48" x 20" it is too large to get out of my shop or into the house where it was to be installed, so I had to make it in pieces small enough to move and assemble it on site. Further, I didn't want any fasteners to be visible on the completed cabinet. The photos will give you an idea of how I did it. The cabinet is red oak. The interior was finished with a clear, satin polyurethane; however, the outside was first lightly stained white to match the existing bath vanity and trim, and then finished with the same satin topcoat. A SketchUp file is attached below for those who might be interested in more details or who might like to build something similar. https://goo.gl/photos/3D8fRH9ugNRucbxz8

Chair Repair:

This chair was in pretty tough shape, lots of loose spindles and legs and, even worse, the curved seat rail was broken. I made a new seat rail using a multi-ply lamination process. All loose parts were reglued when I reassembled the chair. After dying the new piece to match the color and finishing it, it looks as good as new. https://goo.gl/photos/EKUoYA3RQCWzn9Nu6

Fireplace Mantle:

This mantle is approximately 69 x 25 x 5" and is made of white oak with mitered corners so that it looks like a beam. https://goo.gl/photos/PXyoNxY12nLPMqtU9

Wooden Fruit:

I made these in response to my wife's request - for years. Most are mahagony, one is english walnut. The bowl is red mulberry and black walnut.
