This website is a duplicated copy of my 4th grade family website from the 2025–2026 school year. Rather than rebuilding the materials into a more traditional portfolio format, I chose to preserve the site largely as it existed for families at that point in the year. My hope is that this gives prospective employers an authentic “snapshot” of my professional work in action: how I translate ideas into systems, communicate across audiences, design high-quality resources, manage complex projects, and support growth in a real-world setting.
Although the site was originally created for a classroom audience, the work represented here reflects strengths that extend well beyond teaching. Across the pages, you will find examples of curriculum design, project planning, instructional writing, family communication, learning resources, weekly updates, student support systems, math and literacy tools, SEL materials, and explanations of the thinking behind the work. Together, these materials show how I build coherent, user-friendly systems that are rigorous, accessible, responsive, and grounded in real people’s needs.
This portfolio highlights several core strengths of my professional practice:
communicating clearly across audiences
designing curriculum and programs
organizing complex work into usable systems
collaborating with students, families, and colleagues
managing projects from idea to implementation
supporting learning and differentiating to support a range of needs
leading with people at the center
It also reflects the way I approach work more broadly: I care about making complex ideas understandable, designing structures that help children and families succeed, and creating resources that are thoughtful, clear, and usable.
Please note that this website has been modified to protect student privacy. I have removed photos and videos that show student faces, as well as any student work that included names or other identifying information. In places where student names originally appeared, I have replaced them with first initials. As a result, you may notice blank spaces, missing images, or altered documents throughout the site. Those omissions are intentional and reflect my commitment to protecting students while still sharing representative examples of my professional work.
If you missed Back to School Night, I shared my top tips for supporting your 4th grader. Please feel free to refer back to these slides throughout 4th grade for ideas. I hope you find them to be helpful! I also added one more "bonus tip" at the end that I didn't have time for in the presentation. :)
