In The Sims 4, fruitcake is an iconic dish often brought by the Welcome Wagon to greet new Sims in the neighborhood. Some Sims love it, while others… not so much (let’s just say it’s an acquired taste!). In the real world, fruitcake is a traditional treat often associated with holidays, symbolizing hospitality and celebration. Packed with candied fruits and rich flavors, it’s a nostalgic dessert that bridges the digital and real world. This sweet and dense fruitcake, filled with candied fruit, is perfect as a dessert or a comforting treat with coffee. Now, you can bring the charm of The Sims into your kitchen with this classic recipe! Hope your friends/family likes it! 🌈✨
🥣 300g self-rising pastry flour
🍬 250g granulated sugar
🧈 250g real butter
🥚 4 eggs
🍒 200g candied fruit
1️⃣ Pour the sugar and eggs into a stand mixer. Beat for at least 5 minutes until light and fluffy. 🍳✨
2️⃣ Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Gradually whisk the melted butter into the egg mixture. 🧈💫
3️⃣ Gradually fold the self-rising flour into the batter while stirring. Add the candied fruit and mix well. 🍒🌈
4️⃣ Grease and flour a cake pan. Pour the batter into the pan. 🧽🍰
5️⃣ Preheat your oven to 185°C (365°F). Bake the cake for 45 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 165°C (330°F) and bake for another 15–20 minutes until fully baked. ⏳🔥
6️⃣ Check if the cake is done by inserting a knife into the center—it should come out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan before slicing. 🔪❄️
Slice the fruitcake into portions and serve with a cup of coffee or tea. Perfect for holidays, neighborhood gatherings, or simply to bring some Sims nostalgia to life in your kitchen! 🍽️🎉
