My personal story

Hi, I’m JosefienDelphine, an 18-year-old from Belgium. My journey has been anything but straightforward, and while it’s been filled with challenges, it’s also shaped who I am today.

I started out in a cooking school, thinking I’d pursue a career in the culinary arts. But as much as I enjoyed it, I felt it wasn’t the right fit. I then moved on to woodworking and painting, exploring my creative side. Still, something felt off—I wasn’t finding my passion or a sense of purpose. From there, I shifted to studying healthcare, hoping to make a difference in people’s lives.

Unfortunately, life had other plans. Just as I was starting to settle into healthcare studies, health issues of my own began to surface. These challenges made it impossible for me to continue school. I had to quit before finishing my final year, leaving me without a diploma and unable to complete my internship at the hospital. I’d managed to fulfill two internships already and had just one school year left, but in the end, I had to leave with nothing.

Despite these setbacks, I’ve found my own way forward. My journey has taught me resilience, and I’ve discovered new ways to channel my creativity and connect with people. While my path hasn’t been what I expected, I’m proud of how far I’ve come—and I’m excited for what the future holds.
