When we arrived in Newhaven, we still had a long time before our ferry to Dieppe, so we bought some lunch, sent a postcard home and had a look around. We found a man made island called Denton Island, built in 1860's to straighten the River Ouse.

We were joined by my aunty and 2 cousins, who were inspired to do part of the way with us.
We arrived in Dieppe later that evening and checked into the hotel at 22:30.
