Conference registration is done through Award.


Before registering, please carefully read our cancellation policy.

Registration procedure

  1. Please create an account at Award. You will immediately receive an email to activate your account.*

  2. After activating your account, please log in to Award to proceed with the registration.


Once your registration is completed, you will receive a confirmation via email. Please note that this step may take several days if you have chosen “bank transfer” as your payment method as we have to confirm it from our side.

Please note that the bank transfer option is supposed to be for those who have Japanese bank account.

*If you do not receive the e-mail immediately, please check the spam folder. If you don't find the e-mail even in your spam folder, please use another e-mail address. Some e-mail account seems to reject e-mails from Award due to some administrator setting of the provider.

Kinjohro is a long-established Japanese restaurant in Kanazawa, which is famous for its traditional Kaga cuisine. You will have a typical Japanese course menu with local and seasonal ingredients. This restaurant offers fresh seafood from the Sea of ​​Japan, but there is of course a vegetarian option. Traditional Japanese food is an important Japanese cultural heritage. You can also enjoy traditional Japanese architecture at Kinjohro. Don’t miss this experience!

2.1 Registration fee

  • Until July 31st, 2022 (23:59 GMT): 50% of the total amount can be refunded.*

  • After July 31st, 2022 (23:59 GMT): No longer possible

2.2 Conference dinner fee

  • Until August 31st, 2022 (23:59 GMT): 100 % of the conference dinner fee can be refunded.*

  • After August 31st, 2022 (23:59 GMT): No longer possible

3. Change of the participation format from on-site to online

  • Until August 31st, 2022 (23:59 GMT)

    • The difference between the on-site and online registration fee can be refunded.*

    • 100 % of the conference dinner fee can be refunded.*

  • After August 31st, 2022 (23:59 GMT)

    • No longer possible

4. Change of the participation format from online to on-site

Please pay the difference on-site at the registration desk in cash.**

*Please note that some processing charge might apply. The processing charge for the cancellation and the participation format change should be paid by the participants.

*Please also note that the refunding may take several months from a technical reason.

*Please note that the refunding is devided in two transactions: 1) the cancellation of the original amount and 2) the payment of the corrected amount. If you have any question about the timing or detailed procedure of the reimbursement, please contact your credit card company.

**Please be aware that we can only process the Visa request of those who have registered as on-site participants from the beginning. If you are not sure about the participation format, we recommend to choose "on-site" and then change to "online" if necessary.

Where does my registration fee go?

Organizing a hybrid-conference means additional cost on top of the on-site conference. Below, you can see which positions we are paying with your registration fee. Travel expenses of the invited speakers are funded by Evolinguistics project.

On-site registration

FAQ

  • Can I receive a receipt for my payment?

    • Yes, Award will automatically issue a receipt for the total amount of your payment in the beginning of September, 2022. In case you need a receipt before September or you need a receipt including the details of the payment, please fill in this form: https://airtable.com/shropqDxiLLOv5SlG

    • Please note that you can no longer change your participation format nor cancel your participation once the receipt is issued.
