We are good guys.
While Nebula 9 members are bad guys, they are still Cloud 9 and, thus, ultimately good guys.
Associating with us through our activities and adhering to ethics and the law are at the core of our interactions, with which we are able to build upon our foundation as successful and thriving organizations.
By choosing to be a main member in another group, an affiliate is opting to not be given priority in ours until they become a main member with us. Until then, protection or assistance may only be provided by paying for it as a service. Expect the affiliate option to one day be removed and future activities to only be available to main members. Affiliates are encouraged to set us as their main organization.
Anybody that associates as a main member, affiliate, or in any other way with any outlaw-type groups or individuals other than through alts in Nebula 9 is involved—either directly or indirectly, whether admitted to or denied—in activities that are against our rules. By being associated with such groups or individuals and with us, the outcome is a misrepresentation of us to the larger community. We will not have that.
Anybody with any kind of association with those groups or individuals and with us is expected to cease and desist involvement with those groups and individuals if they wish to continue to be associated with us. Anybody that fails to do so will be removed from our groups and community, including chat servers, and in all other ways.
Anybody with an interest in illegal or extralegal activities is encouraged to inquire about the prerequisites for joining Nebula 9. More information is available on the "Outlaw Activities" page linked below.
Anybody that is associated with us as a main member, affiliate, through our chat servers, or in any other way is expected to regularly and consistently demonstrate ethical behavior and show such conduct by doing what's right, irrespective of whether they are participating in activities with us, with other people, or on their own.
The conduct of anybody associated with us, including affiliates and anybody else, requires following the rules outside of our environments and setting positive examples.
Main members are expected to practice and maintain standards of ethical behavior and conduct.
Cloud 9 Citizens are expected to go above and beyond by raising standards when possible and demonstrating such conduct for others to follow.
The moral principles that govern our behavior and the ways in which we conduct our activities are defined first and foremost by our own law, which applies to anything Cloud 9, and additionally through the United Empire of Earth (UEE) law within the context of Star Citizen.
With regard to the former, our own law, we have established a system of rules that we recognize as regulating the actions of anyone who associates with us and which may be enforced by the imposition of penalties, in part defined through the information in the Cloud 9 Rules and in part through other sources as necessary and approved by leadership, as within each of our crews, which may opt to establish internal nonconflicting regulations to help with running operations together in the 'verse, and within each clan or guild that we form and participate in through various online games.
With regard to the latter, the UEE law, we will continue to abide by that law as long as it both aligns with our own and is effectively governed. The UEE law, government, and governing people must not become corrupt as they were in the past under the rule of Messer or the descendants of Messer. Should the UEE fail to maintain alignment—through any of its governing powers, the Imperator, Tribunal of High-Advocate, High-Secretary, High-Command, or representatives of the UEE Senate—such that corruption is both reintroduced into their system and reaches a level that overwhelms the UEE to an extent on par with the Messer era, then all aspects of Cloud 9 will withdraw from allying with the UEE and consider replacing it with another as its secondary law, such as that of the Xi'an or Banu.
We also recognize the combined internal laws of the Sol and Terra systems—regardless of any conflicts between those systems—from within our current galactic network, and similar laws of other governing bodies, to the extent that they do not introduce dissension with our own law for the duration that they continue to align with our own.
Cloud 9 Citizens have opportunities to partake in governance through leadership elections and change proposal processes to help build upon our existing legal system within the framework established and fundamentally maintained by the Founder.
