I have compiled a full list of International Airlines Serving New Zealand, including a list of airlines that have served New Zealand up until 2013. A current list of international Airlines serving New Zealand is maintained by the NZ Ministry of Transport. Services were severely disrupted by COVID-19.

Air New Zealand was privatised in 1989 but since 2001 it has been majority owned by the Crown (the New Zealand Government). The Crown also holds a Kiwishare in the airline. Air New Zealand shares are traded on the stock exchange:
