Reflection

This one is my favorite of all the assignments this semester. I choose a location that has so much activity going on. The first walk to observe the three blocks were attractive. I took note of people, objects, buildings, and the sky hoping nothing would change as I returned to take pictures. I focused on what would make a reasonable frame for the images so I wouldn't have to cut anything out. It is great to have the freedom to take any pictures I want.

I mastered a few things on this assignment. The first was what to set my camera on. My priority was the environment around me, so Aperture's priority was the setting for the camera. The second was to see what my frame was on my mind before I even looked through my viewfinder. The third one was the patience to take the correct picture. I needed to make sure I was not cutting off any people or missing corners of objects/buildings. The last one was looking at the snapshot taken and decided to see if the picture was worth taking on the next step.

Eggleston's influence will affect my work in the future by knowing anything can be photography. I do not need to visit Europe, Asia, or the Americas for the perfect picture moments. I can go anywhere in Boston to take an impactful picture. Even a trash barrel can be artistic and tell a story.
