Reflection

This was an exciting shoot. I remained in one spot with my left foot and looked through my viewfinder. I lunged backward and forward to get different shoots which can be seen by the shutter speed change and f-stop. I then took nine pictures before a couple of friends stopped me for a picture in front of the Harvard gate.

I understood the basis of the assignment, where I needed to stop the distractions around me and focus on my frame. I chose the spot of the Harvard Gate showing the science building in the opposite direction to tell a different story. Many people take pictures in front of the gate with the Harvard Yard in the background, but I wanted the opposite. I wanted to see a different version of all these people posing for Harvard Yard. They want the best picture in front but can care less about their backside. It is fitting to end the photo series with a couple of friends asking for a picture.

I had some camera issues that may have affected how the pictures were taken.
