A Binding Vow (縛しばり Shibari?) is a pact made with jujutsu that creates conditions for themselves or agreements with others. They are made using Cursed Energy. Binding vows are considered by all jujutsu users to be one of the essential tenets of jujutsu sorcery. Binding Vows are essentially contracts created through cursed energy that an individual can make with one's self or another person. The act of abiding by the rules and restrictions agreed upon in these contracts can result in a greater power or the achievement of a goal, but breaking a binding vow has uncanny repercussions.
When creating a Binding Vow for yourself, the penalty of breaking it will be told and decided by partly the player and the moderation team. These vows can give you a power boost and stuff in exchange for something else.
In most cases, breaking a binding vow with oneself will lead to losing what is gained among some injuries.
All parties will alert the moderators of the binding vow made. Conditions will be set, agreed upon between the parties involved. Once the vow has been made, all parties must log them on their character sheets. However…
When making a binding vow with others, the moderators will not tell you the penalty of breaking it.
Unlike Binding Vows, which are consciously made by the user, a Heavenly Restriction is something a person is born with. Similar to Cursed Techniques, it’s part of who they are. Heavenly Restrictions must be submitted before OC creation, and then added to your OC sheet when submitted.
Binding Vows and Heavenly Restrictions must all be submitted to misc-submissions. They will be reviewed by mods to decide the benefits, restrictions and penalties of each vow individually.
Vows can be used to increase potency and speed of attacks, add more Base Points to your pool, and much more! Though be careful, the consequences can be dire.
