Jujtusu Kaisen: Maho No Soran is a Free-Form JJK-Based RP server that takes place in modern day, 2023. The server is NON-CANON! meaning none of the canon-characters exist here. The lore is also original, hand-crafted by the moderators of the server.
Following Jujutsu Kaisen, we use the power-systems and worldbuilding from the show. Characters all begin in the Jujutsu Highschool in TOKYO. Unfortunately, we do not allow students in the neighbouring schools, such as Kyoto, but that is subject to change.

In Canon, Jujutsu Kaisen functions around Cursed Energy. Cursed Energy is a product of negative emotions and it flows in all humans. Cursed Spirits are a by-product of those negative feelings-- An amalgamation. Jujutsu Sorcerers are humans who use Cursed Energy through various techniques, i.e. Cursed Techniques, to exorcise these Curses.
The OCs played in this server are exclusively Jujutsu Sorcerers / Curse Users! This is because most Cursed Spirits are not intelligent, only gaining human-intelligence at higher grades.

There is a crucial barrier within Japan that covers the entire planet. This barrier hides the Jujutsu Tech Highschools across Japan from being seen, but most importantly, keeps cursed spirits restricted to Japan. By veiling the planet, cursed spirits are mainly filtered out of the rest of the planet and kept within Japan. As a result, globally, cursed spirits have a very, very low spawn rate. Sorcerers can and will be born outside of Japan but will probably never know they're sorcerers, or never have their powers fully realised. Japan holds a monopoly on Jujutsu Sorcerery, but for a price: Having to deal with curses.
For centuries on end, elite barrier teams have been appointed to uphold this otherwordly veil. To do this, there are nine key points within Japan where the barriers stand, serving as pillars essential to keeping the peace:
Yakiyama (it's in the island)
Yokohama is where the Tokyo Jujutsu Highschool is based, hidden from the public eye.
All barrier point shrines are heavily monitored 24/7 by Jujutsu Higher-ups.

Since the World is set in Japan, IRP the cultures and customs of the country are followed accordingly. One of the more prominent things that come up with this is Keigo. Respectful language. Whether or not your OC follows it is up to their own reasons and voalition, but the mass majority of Japan follows it.
Clans are Sorcerer families that hold significant influence over Jujutsu Society. Relevant Clans and inherited techniques are listed here.
The Tokoyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, more commonly known as Tokyo Jujutsu High, is an academy that the Jujutsu Headquarters established in the Tokyo prefecture as an institution for the education, guidance, and supervision of Jujutsu sorcerers.
