Everyone, at Grade 4, begins with 30 Base Points total that they can allocate to CONTROL, PHYSICALITY or ENERGY. You must start with one in each main stat, giving you 27 Base Points to distribute.
You unfortunately cannot. The server is student-based, meaning you can only create a Jujutsu Tech student who is in their first, second, or third year. However, this is not to say you cannot RP an OC once they've graduated from Jujutsu Tech.
We have this rule in place to stop people from running around as Goku, Sans, or Naruto, because an RP server with nothing but popular main cast characters as faceclaims can be awkward. Having a faceclaim of the supporting cast is generally fine, however. If you're unsure, you can still always ask!
You can make Canon Techniques! Firstly, refer to the Banned Techniques section to make sure the one you want isn't there. If it is not, you are free to make it. The technique will need to be rebalanced though appropriate to your character.
As it stands, players cannot start off with a Cursed Tool. However, there is one exception to this rule. If a player starts in the Fujiwara Body Over Soul clan then they get to start off with a Grade 4 tool to help them exorcise curses.
Figuring out if your damage scales with PHYS or ENERGY is dependent on the method of which you use to attack. For example: If you strike at an enemy using a katana, your damage would scale with your PHYS stat. If you had a Cursed Technique which allowed you to fire off beams of Cursed Energy from said Katana, then these attacks would scale with your ENGY.
Even if you're coating something in cursed energy, the fact you're swinging it with your body would mean the attacks scale with PHYS.
If you are making a physical strike with 15 PHYS, you will be hitting your opponent with 15 potency and 15 speed. If you are looking at other stats such as movement speed, lifting speed etc., you can refer to PHYS Capabilities/Feat Formula.
If you boost your stats through buffs (PHYS, ENGY, or CTRL), these buffs do not get added to your sheet. They are treated as damage modifiers / enhancements rather than bonus base points.
Energy Enhanced Physicality only affects the damage you can deal as well as the damage you can take. It does not affect the speed at which your character can move or strike their opponent.
You cannot enhance any normal item to turn it into a Cursed Tool. If you were to enhance a standard item with Cursed energy, it would just follow the Energy Enhanced Physicality rules.
We have a forum in the server just for this! Underneath the "Roleplay" category there is a forum called "oc-boards". Anyone is free to make their own post in that forum to drop faceclaims, theme songs, voice claims, trivia, etc. about their character.
There is no limit to how many roleplays you can be in at once! As for how it works time wise, we let players decide that for themselves so they can construct their own timeline of events.
Once you submit a sub-ability and it gets approved, you can use whenever it's relevant! You also can unlock sub-abilities and vows mid-combat. However, it's probably best to RP yourself into unlocking them as opposed to them suddenly appearing for your character to reap the rewards from.
You can only claim one JP per week after writing up 10 paragraphs. The reset for weekly JP is every Monday at 12 AM GMT. There is no benefit to sparring in this server. They are just treated like any other casual scene that you may have. You can claim your JP from previous weeks, provided that you hit the paragraph requirement.
For the most part, there is no limit to the amount of vows a person can create. The only exception here are revealing of the hand Vows which are limited to one per character. Just be warned that the more vows a character creates, the more detrimental the restrictions will be. Binding vows can't be removed unless it's due to a server balancing change.
The benefits you can get from these Vows can be extra PHYS, ENGY, CTRL, or potency. The main downside to these vows is that your opponent will then know the ins and outs of your technique, allowing them to exploit it for their personal gain. These vows are also case by case with the amount they can buff depending on the complexity of the technique.
Unless the innate ability of your Reverse Cursed Technique is to heal, you do not get it just for having Reversed Cursed Energy. If you want the ability to heal using RCE then a sub-ability must be submitted.
Additionally, if you do not start off with RCE and decide to purchase it from the JP store, you will be required to submit a second sub-ability in order to gain access to healing.
Once you have purchased a veil, you have permanent access to cast one IRP. Additionally, they have no cost to deploy! So long as the incantation is spoken, it'll be deployed.
Unfortunately not. If you manage to beat out the incoming potency, then the attack is just nullified. The reason we keep it this way is so there's not an endless cycle of blocking the incoming attack and the remaining potency gets sent to your opponent, just for the same to happen to you on their turn.
Divergent Fist is a case-by-case situation when it comes to using it for your character.
While an unfortunate circumstances, it can happen. However, you will be eligible for the death rules implemented in the server so you don't have to start from scratch again.
