We know of Jerusha's interest in her family's history because of the notes written in her hand (below) and a letter from Lucius Paige responding to an inquiry about family history in King Philip's War. Jerusha also bequeathed a copy of the Howe Family Coat of Arms (below) to the American Antiquarian Society.
