To prepare for the "Beyond the Belle" exhibit, TWIF staff and volunteers searched through all available sources to learn more about the life of the real Jerusha Howe. After more than two years of research, we are sharing the documents and objects that were most useful in our quest to better understand Jerusha's interests and activities throughout her life. Items on display include documents written in Jerusha's hand, letters written to her by friends, family, and acquaintances, and a schoolbook.
