STRATEGIC PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

The Strategic Performance Assessments (SPA) requires organizations to institutionalize its monitoring, reporting, validating, and evaluating processes to foster an effective strategy monitoring system. The SPA relates to the presence of accountability mechanisms, conducted weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually, to monitor and evaluate the progress of the strategy. This mechanism sets the discipline of execution in the form of regular strategy reviews and operations reviews at the various levels of the organization. Consistent tracking of the progress of the strategy is key for any organization to continuously improve its performance in terms of strategy execution. The regular conduct of the Strategic Performance Assessments would assist not just the OSM in monitoring the strategy, but will also aid the units in ensuring that they deliver on their targets and allow the leadership team to make informed decisions when it comes to moving the strategy forward.
