JBLMGH was able to develop and maintain its comprehensive COVID-19 response system. A state-of-the-art high-volume Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory with an average daily capacity of processing 3,000 tests has been completed and operationalized through the assistance from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). 

Establishment of the first Health Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit in Central Luzon, with the goal of improving disease monitoring and response, strengthening public health systems, and improving data collecting and analysis. JBLMGH has also been designated as a Sub-National Referral Laboratory for Vaccine-Preventable Diseases and Pan Respiratory Surveillance Laboratory by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), DoH, and WHO. 

JBLMGH executed the first and successful Ex-utero Intrapartum Treatment (EXIT Procedure) in Central Luzon. By saving both the mother and the child's lives, this significant milestone will greatly enhance the health outcomes of high-risk pregnancies. 

The hospital provides a post-graduate course in Damage Control Surgery as well as a fellowship program in Ilizarov and Limb Reconstruction Surgery in an effort to raise the standard of care. 

Establishment of the first Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) Fellowship Training Program in Central Luzon in order to improve the standard of treatment in many areas of surgery. The program accepts lateral entry transfers from other hospitals to share the expertise and help these facilities establish their own MIS services.
