Super Blobby Fusion is a 3D Puzzle Platformer where the player takes control of a young adventurer that collects little slimes called Blobbies that can be fused and transformed into objects that can aid in traversing the world and fending off an enemy constantly chasing the player.

I was the designer of the entire game; mechanics, lore, gameplay loop, etc. The whole game revolves around collecting little slimes called Blobbies which all have differnt colors. Fusing certain colors together will create new, Fused Blobbies which have the ability to transform into a specific object that has a unique power. The player must traverse various stages and reach the top tower of each stage to move on, and the Blobbies aid the player with traversing the environments.
I programmed the majority of the game using Blueprints. Thanks to the help of colleagues, I was able to create a modular system that allows a developer to create new Blobby types and powers in order to add more variety to the game. New stages are relatively easy to make and currently every one is in a single level so all of it is loaded in. There's an inventory system that allows players to collect, place down, and select Blobbies for fusion.

I designed and laid out all of the game's stages. Some were created from sketches on paper (Stages 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9) and others were created from the initial blockouts in Unreal Engine (Stages 4, 5, and 6). Stage 10 is just a blank stage with props scattered about, since the goal for that one is the player must fully figure out how to reach the top by themselves.
