Vision

Unbiased Leadership

Jason understands that his role as County Attorney would be 1) to carry out justice and 2) to serve as a legal advisor to those who are elected to policy making positions. He understands that the public is not electing him for his stance on issues, but rather they are electing him to help our local policy makers solve county issues in a legal manner.

Serving as an Independent

With the belief that the administration of justice as a prosecutor should always be blind to political affiliation, Jason has chosen to run and would serve as an independent. He is an individual who will prosecute without bias and help Marshall County’s elected officials get things done.

Focus on Drug Abuse

Jason also understands that while he would not be in the role of a policy maker as Marshall County Attorney, he is a leader in the community. He would put more focus on programs that help combat drug addiction by our youth and steer those already addicted in the right direction for help. This includes helping local law enforcement officers with their D.A.R.E program and initiating new programs that would positively impact families and keep individuals out of the courtroom.

Full-Time County Attorney

Moreover, Jason has committed to be a FULL-TIME County Attorney. This will allow him the availability to concentrate on more at-risk situations in our community, like combating the growing number of drug-related issues in our court.

Fiscally Responsible

Jason pledges to operate the Marshall County Attorney's Office in the most efficient manner to save taxpayer dollars. He realizes it is necessary to scrutinize the budget continuously as there there are always opportunities to "tighten our belts."

Jason's first political race has us excited about the future for Marshall County.

He is excited about the opportunity to

-save the county money by working as a full time county attorney and only having to hire one new assistant who shares his vision

-implement new education programs that will help combat the growing drug problem and help break the perpetual cycle of drug abuse

-enforce laws that require strict regulations for drug offenses as a means of rehabilitation

-institute weekly meetings with social workers to be more involved in protecting our children

-helping our school system keep kids in school where we have the best chance of framing a bright future for them

-fully evaluate the budget to see where County funds may best be used in the County Attorney office

-meet with victims of crimes to ensure justice is served

-utilize County Attorney staff to better educate public (especially parents and school counselors) on laws such as Casey's Law which helps parents and family members force kids and adults into drug rehab
