Belief in Serving Community
in Christ-like Manner
Jason is active in the community. He has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Marshall County Rotary Club, where he serves on the scholarship committee, participates annually in the Toys for Kids program, and volunteers as a radio auctioneer during its spring fundraiser.
He and Jenny are also faithful supporters of such community organizations as the Marshall County Exceptional Center, the Marshall County Animal Shelter, and the H.O.P.E. Clinic. He is a former board member of the Chamber of Commerce and is a current board member of the Marshall County High School Athletic Association.
Jason is a member of Hamlet Baptist Church and also attends Pleasant Grove UMC where he and Jenny work to support many programs that help positively impact their community through their local church. They volunteered each of the 15 years Pleasant Grove hosted its Community Thanksgiving Meal. They were instrumental in helping to establish their church’s CenterShot program, a program to nurture children and youth in their community. They also supported the establishment of a local summer camp, DayShore, for community children at their church. Additionally, they help provide instruction on a weekly basis with the youth in their church, and for the past 17 years Jenny has served as the Marshall County United Methodist Children and Youth Coordinator. This group is involved in several community outreach programs each year where Jason volunteers his time, including the annual Thanksgiving Basket Mission. For the past 16 years they have organized the collection of food and money for the delivery of 100 turkey baskets for Marshall County residents in need.
Jason and Jenny were also selected to serve as mentors in a Gems of Grace program that is a faith-based mentoring program for middle school students that is being started in Marshall County. They are excited about helping the many kids who need a little extra assistance in recognizing their purpose in life and helping the kids realize the choices they need to make to achieve that purpose.

Chaperoning Prom at Marshall County High School
Jason and Jenny love Marshall County, and whether it be handing out warm beverages at Dicken’s Christmas or visiting a high school classroom to discuss the difficulties of teenage pregnancy or the dangers of debt, Jason is willing to do it for the betterment of his community. Serving as a Prom Chaperone, a Career Day presenter at Jonathan Elementary, and a Master of Ceremony at Marshall County’s National Day of Prayer Observance are all little things he does in hopes that they will have a positive impact on this county.
