Reflection:
This specific assignment was a great learning experience. One of our learning outcomes is to exhibit the ability to communicate and collaborate with one or more community businesses on architectural design suggestions to improve the accessibility of the business for persons with disabilities. This is exactly what we did. We were able to have a really great conversation with our waiter and the manager. Because of this class I am personally more aware of how the environment affects people living with a disability. Along with being more aware, this class has made me feel more comfortable interacting with those with a disability. I feel confident that I could respectfully offer help to someone if I saw them struggling. They might turn me down, which is okay, but at least I can offer.
