This artifact was a part of our unit 1 engaging scenarios. Students gathered information from text and stories we read regarding the Klondike Gold rush and they created a game board. Students had to use vocab words, geography and over all theme to be related to the Klondike Gold Rush. Students then found or made game pieces and wrote clear directions to their game. After all games were finished, students had an opportunity to play each others games. I learned this is an engaging way to include creativity into the classroom.
This artifact was a part of the lesson that we used on the Klondike Gold Rush. Students did this an an engaging activity. They were provided a list of questions and they had to go through multiple links on a webpage and read through a series of paragraphs, analyze photos and primary sources to determine the answer. Students were given more independence when doing this assignment and were able to move at their own pace. I learned this is a good tool to ensure students are able to gather correct information on websites.
