Postdoc. Genta Toya gave two talks at Protolang6 held in Lisbon on 2019/9/9-13. titles are "Evolution of recursive combination of action representations by rewarding novel tool-making", joint work with Rie Asano (University of Cologne), and "Modeling self-domestication and its impact on language evolution: playing with ‘play’", joint work with Antonio Benítez-Burraco (Universidad de Sevilla).
Prof.Takashi Hashimoto gave a talk at Organized Session, "Integration of Hierarchy and Intention Sharing in Communication", in The 36th Annual Meeting of Japanese Cognitive Science Society held at Shizuoka University on 2019/9/07. Prof. Hashimoto and Genta Toya (PD) gave a talk in 141th NII Shonan Meeting「Shonan Symposium — Language as Goal-Directed Sequential Behavior」 which held in Shonan Villedge Center from 19th to 23th in May, 2019. The titles are "Considering intention sharing and hierarchically structured utterances in light of goal-directed behavior " by Prof. Hashimoto, and "Recursive combination for exploration and exploitation: Its neural implementation and evolution" by Genta Toya.
