For my strengths, I feel like my composition work is my best asset, as I can find myself knowing what instruments I need to use for my projects for whichever genre I am doing, if I don't then I go out of my way to research what instruments are common within that genre and I know then how to utilise them well within the song. I want to be able to make and publish my own music in the future, so having these skills now means I can keep improving down the line as I get older, and in the future when I start releasing music I will be very skilled within my compositions. In the future I may work with other artists who are used to working in a genre that I'm not familiar in, so I would have to learn about that genre and use my composition skills to create a track that fits within the genre and that I and the artist(s) are happy with. For 3 different areas I would like to improve, I would like to be able to work on my singing skills as that is something I would like too include within my songs in the future, I feel this is a weakness at the moment as I struggle to keep in time and in key when singing which wouldn't be good for my songs in the future. I also feel like my mixing and mastering skills are very slim as this is the first time I have properly done it before. I need my skill levels for my mixing and mastering to be top in the future so my projects can sound the best when they get played, if they don't sound the best then my songs might not gain the attention that I would like them to as people might not like the sound of them. My live performance skills are also a weakness of mine as I don't like performing in front of other people at the moment, I need to improve on this as in the future, fans of my music will want me to host shows which would then mean I have to perform in front of people. If I were to to choose one personal area for development as a musician, it would be my vocal skills, because in the future I would like to be able to add my own vocals to my tracks and it sound well instead of just sounding boring and bland like they do at the moment. My vocals can give my music a different feeling by using certain lyrics in my songs, whether than just having a track which just stays repetitive over time. I can also experiment with my vocals too, I could have a track in a major key but I can sing about something sad, and that feeling of sadness can be masked by the happy sounding track behind the vocals. My vocals can add more dynamics to the track too, and with effects such as reverb, delay, and distortion, my vocals can make the track sond completely different.
