We use VEX IQ with our upper graders at Bird Rock. Students work in pairs or small groups to learn about engineering & simple machines, build CLAWbots and complete the
Chain Reaction Challenge.
Our 1st and 2nd graders learn how to use the Sphero Bolt. They are SO proud when they actually get to CODE and control it because they have been coding since TK!

Chain Reaction Challenge!
Cornell University Engineering Department puts on an annual event called Cube Craze! Our goal is to emulate this event.
Cube Craze is a tournament in which robots have to move blocks from their half of the field to their opponent's. The robot with fewer blocks on its side after one minute wins the match.
VEXcode VR (Virtual Robot)
When we went to Digital Learning, so did our ROBOTICS!
Thankfully, VEX created a digital version of robotics which they launched in April 2020. Since our students know how to code, this was a fun way to combine their skills. These activities are challenging!
