Third Resource Overview: Wakelet is a great resource for constructing knowledge. It is a platform where students can organize and share resources, allowing them to build knowledge through structured collections. Wakelet allows students to gather, organize, and manage digital resources (articles, videos, images, and websites) into structured collections, teaching them to critically evaluate the credibility and relevance of the content they select. Students can share their collections with peers, encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange, which aligns with the ethical use and communication of information. By organizing resources around specific topics or problems, students develop a deeper understanding of complex concepts and make meaningful connections across disciplines.

Fourth Resource Overview: This article discusses how knowledge construction determines the effectiveness of learning. Hashim (2018) highlights how we process, and transform information into knowledge. Hashim (2018), models the different ways of knowledge construction. Knowledge can be transferred. It also highlights how a knowledge constructor can assess what is being transferred and where support is needed. Technology allows educators to maintain, differentiate, and adapt to the information given. The idea of knowledge is constructed through past knowledge and existing ideas.

In finding these resources, I had to ask myself what resources can have these students create meaningful products. Several of these resources are interactive and have students create meaningful products. I have learned that technology empowers students to build knowledge, make connections, and think critically. The ISTE standards 1:3 highlight teaching students to explore, evaluate, and use information ethically. Technology platform like Britannica School helps students access credibility and reliability. One key insight is how technology fosters the ability to synthesize information and solve problems. Platforms like Wakelet and Google’s Applied Digital Skills teach students to gather, organize, and present knowledge in meaningful ways. For example, Wakelet encourages students to curate cohesive collections of resources, enhancing their critical thinking and organizational skills. Collaboration is key in knowledge construction. Canva allows students to share ideas and work together on projects. They will build skills in teamwork and leadership. BrainPOP allows students to engage in real-world issues promoting deeper learning and problem-solving. In the future, I would like to incorporate all of these platforms in the classroom. I would have to tailor the platforms to the grade levels, but all of the platforms construct knowledge in students.
