Belts
belts can be purchased at the Hurricane Recreation Center front office. Our karate class does not make money off selling the belts.
Striped
Striped
In our class, we use two systems for belt ranks. We have our striped system which is used to show students their progress from white to yellow. The yellow belt is the first colored belt that will qualify a student as an upper belt ranked student.
Solid
Solid
Our second system is the solid colors. These are the belts that will show students their rank and how far they have progressed. Most students have the goal of a black belt and so by teaching the order of colored belts, they will be able to watch their progress as they improve and rank up.

If you would like to purchase your uniform online there is this link under the GI tab to a uniform we recommend. We do ask that students purchase either black or white uniforms only.
The uniform is worn through class. The top is set as the left side overlaps the right side.
Please make sure your pants go to your ankles but are not so long you will trip on them.
