Many peer reviewers find the QM peer review process not only collegial and collaborative, but a learning experience for themselves as well. They take away many ideas and approaches and to how they will make changes to their own courses based on the peer reviews they are involved in. Peer reviewers must respect copyright and authorship of their colleagues whose courses they are reviewing, but it is not uncommon for them to ask those designers if they can borrow from their course design or structure to help improve their own.
