If, at the end of a course review, a course does not meet one or more of the 3-point standards or has a score of 84% or less, the course designer will receive a copy of the final review report showing what modifications need to be made in order for the course to meet QM standards and expectations. The rubric provides examples and annotations for each of the standards, and our instructional designers are available to help make needed modifications to courses that do not meet standards on the first review.
It is the goal of Quality Matters that all courses meet standards and expectations, so there is a modification period built into the review process in order for these changes to be made, reviewed, and ultimately receive QM certification. We take a "no one left behind" approach to this process, and our office is here to help you make any needed modifications or updates in order to meet QM standards and receive certification. Please refer to the resources available to you should you find yourself in this situation.
