The Californian rabbit is one of the most popular and dependable breeds for both meat production and show purposes. Originally developed in the 1920s by George West of California, this breed was created by combining the New Zealand White, Himalayan, and Standard Chinchilla rabbits to produce a rabbit with excellent meat qualities and striking appearance.
