How to adjust the Orbital Parameters of an object in STK. This video also briefly discusses different presentations of the Parameters and their possible benefits based on Mission Goals.
How to quickly generate the Access Times Report which includes intervals and duration of periods in which active contact can be made between two selected objects.
How to add a variety of objects into a scenario. Some objects are scenario level while some objects can only be added to specific "parent" objects. This lesson also gives a brief rundown of the common objects for our scenarios.
STK can generate all worst of useful reports. While Access Times and Lighting Times (see STK pro) are the commonly used, many others may prove useful in specific scenarios. Video to the right gives a brief overview of the Report and Graph Manager.
However, click HERE to see a more detailed account of what can be done with Reports & Graphs.
The Reports often give vital information for mission planning. However, many times we must use those numbers to draw conclusions on how to outfit the mission. Many reports have a large quantity of useful numbers. An easy way to 'copy' these numbers into Spreadsheet would be very useful.
This is achieved with CSV files (Comma Separated Values). These files allow you to package up the Report information and easily transfer it to a Spreadsheet in order to do more advanced analysis.
A brief rundown of common Constraints and how to apply them to objects in STK. Constraints allow you to limit when an object can be accessed/operate. For example, if you were planning a mission for a satellite to take pictures of the ground, you might want to ignore any pictures at night, having no light with which to see. This lesson shows how to add or adjust common constraints to add limitations to targets.
