Who are we?

We are students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) working on a project called IQP which stands for Interactive Qualifying Project. Typically students travel all over the world to complete this project and we all chose to come to Ghana!

Why are we in Ghana?

WPI, located in Worcester, Massachusetts USA, has partnerships and project sites all around the world where students travel to complete projects. One of our professors has a connection with the Chief of Akyem Dwenase in the Eastern Region of Ghana in addition to with connections at Academic City University College.

What is our project?

We are here in Ghana working in collaboration with the ACity MakeLab in order to create an interactive display and corresponding educational sessions that helps to inspire creativity for both the students at ACity and community members.

"I chose Ghana because I wanted to travel somewhere that was vastly different compared to the United States and also somewhere that I would be able to work directly with locals to help enhance their livelihoods."

~Kerry

"I want to have an IV filled with red red."

~Darcy

"Upon arriving in Ghana, I was really excited about the possibilites the MakeLab has to offer! This space has so many useful tool and staff that is truly dedicated to the growth of their students."
