Feedback from professional development opportunities…
After attending several days of professional development, learning to using
imagery in education, attendees were asked to share their thoughts about
intentional visualization. The following responses were shared by seasoned
educators.
“It is enjoyable to be intentional about putting pictures in your mind.”
“Liberating - unlocks the controls of the panic box, while trying to meet student needs.”
“Promotes relationships in the moment.”
“It feels like learning coming to life.”
This positive feedback made me want to share lessons with others. Teachers
deserve to use and experience Intentional Visualization with their students in
their classroom. So I wrote a variety of free lessons that can be found on this
website. These few lessons are the tip of the iceberg, showing how imagery
impacts cognition and influences learners. ENJOY!
This book explains Visualization Concepts and Goals which intentionally teach cognitive skills and offers multiple examples of learning experiences using imagery for READING, WRITING, CONTENT AREAS, EARLY LEARNERS, and SOCIAL EMOTIONAL Development.
