HAUNTED LAS VEGAS

Along with Las Vegas' rich culture, the town is also known for its haunted historic buildings and houses. One of the most popular is The Plaza Hotel. Built in 1882, everything from the red brick to the eerie long hallways continues to have the ability to make guests feel a presence. There have been many sightings of ghosts roaming the halls. The paranormal investigating team known as Ghost Hunters has paid a visit to snoop out these events. Under the hotel run tunnels that used to connect throughout all of Las Vegas. They were never kept up, therefore the floors are still dirt and there are metal bars that lock so no one could come into the hotel through the tunnel. A guest writes a review on Google stating, "Our family has stayed here 4 times now, and each time is great. Staff is great, ambiance is old-fashioned, architecture is real. Our daughter jumped out of her skin when she saw a female ghost dressed in white, pass through the entrance to our room. Will be back soon". (Shelby Sack) I don't think anyone could pay me enough to stay in a hotel after I saw a ghost pass by.

The next place that is very popular for its ghost activity is The Castaneda Hotel. Built in 1898, the Castaneda Hotel sits right next to the train station in Las Vegas. Before its recent renovation and re-opening, the hotel was abandoned for decades giving it an extra feeling of mystery. There have been sightings of men standing in the windows and an unfortunate story of a bell hop who worked at the hotel and killed his family and himself in one of the rooms. Ghost Hunters has also investigated this hotel and heard multiple voices, one of which asked if they wanted another drink while they were filming by the bar. The team saw orbs and figures when looking back on footage. Going on a tour is highly recommended. If you ask the right person they will take you to underneath the hotel where there, too, are tunnels.

Out of both hotels I would have to say that The Plaza takes the cake on spookiness.
