El uso del inglés en clase no siempre es posible en situaciones reales de comunicación, por lo que proponer al alumnado el uso de la lengua inglesa en clase para pedir o responder a cuestiones cotidianas, resulta significativo y ayuda a lograr el hito de "pensar en inglés". Por ello, propondremos al alumnado una serie de situaciones típicas del aula que pueden resolverse en el idioma inglés.

Situaciones comunicativas en el aula

Can I go to the toilet?

Manolo: Can I go to the toilet?

Teacher: What time is it?

Manolo: I don't know... I don't have a watch?

Teacher: You can see on the smartboard (on the clock) what time is it?

Manolo: It's half past nine.

Teacher: You can go to the toilet at 10 o'clock.

Manolo: I'm sorry teacher but I can't stop it!!

Teacher: OK. You can go to the toilet. Don't forget the toilet rules...

Manolo: Can I go to the toilet?

Teacher: Well...Are you a boy or a girl?

Manolo: I'm a boy, of course!!! Look at me teacher!!!!

Teacher: Antonio is in the boy's toilet now. You can go it after your friend. Wait on your chair and when he comes back to the classroom, you can go to the toilet.

Manolo: Ok, thank you.

Teacher: You are welcome.

Manolo: Teacher, Antonio is in the classroom. I go to the toilet...

Teacher: OK. Stand up and go!

Can I stand up?

Teacher: Why?

Manolo: Because I want to throw the paper in the bin.

Can you repeat, please?

Teacher: Open you r notebook and write the date.

Manolo: I'm sorry teacher. Can you repeat, please? I didn't hear you.

Manolo: I'm hot and thirsty. I'm hot because in PE I was running for five minutes. My bottle of water is empty . Can I fill my bottle in the toilet / of the other bottle of water?
