Workshop 1: Introduction to the course and study of the community

    • Read Chapters 1-4

    • Find a collection or several collections you can use as the basis for the entire course.

    • Think about the makeup of the community; their needs, and what is currently happening to serve those needs during the pandemic.

    • Look at the library you are interested in, but also look at the other types of libraries in that community that are serving patron needs..

    • During the workshop, we will decide on the product of your investigation that will be due the week after our first workshop.

    • Our study will be part of the empathy step of design thinking.
