Note for Summer: For this class, I think we all need to be flexible about assignments, deadlines, etc. I would like each of you to be very adept at designing online learning experiences with a virtual library learning commons. No other skill, I believe, will prepare you immediately to be visible and indispensable in school and academic environments. And, if you are headed to public libraries, then the same will be true as you support schools in your community. As your professor, we will be assessing the various situations in our class for online learning experiences and seeing what we can do to help those of us in actual schools. We will build a portfolio of your efforts for you to use with administrators and school boards. Please do pay close attention to messages I send out to everyone. What we decide on what's next during our workshop will sometimes be different than the requirements on this site.
This class requires the use of breakout rooms to discuss topics in small groups. This means you must use the Zoom desktop or mobile client. The browser platform will NOT work with this. See: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005769646-Participating-in-Breakout-Rooms?mobile_site=true
