Personal Learning Environment

Note: for Summer 2020 take a look at the assignment below. I find that many folks use this to get themselves better organized. If you have another idea for a 3-5 hour assignment that would advance soemthing you did not have time to work on in this class, please email me at reader.david@gmail.com and get my permission or call me at 801.755.1122

For example, you might ask Dr. L to let you work on a page for the teen book that has not yet been layed out. I could help you get a topical page and we could work it together. You would have your name as joint author of that page.

You might also spend time creating a website for your library: a Virtual Learning Commons. I could help you decide what kind of site and what to include.

You might also dig really deap in creating a Google Site that is much more elaborate than you have the skill to build now. You'd have tolook at a lot of tutorials and then demonstrate you are a master at that. You could also do the same thing with Google drawings. There are many many things that you can do that is even better than PowerPoint. The same goes for any other of the Google Google suite of tools.

You will create your own PLE that contains the following three elements:

1. The Portal

2. The Personal Learning Network (PLN)

3. The Personal Portfolio

The final PLE will be due at the end of the semester.
