I used this government document when creating my responsive plans. I feel like this document is something all educators can refer to when planning experiences as it talks about the importance of relationships between children and educators. It explains how we can create and foster those relationships and use the environment as a teacher. It is a document that I refer to when planning and laying out experiences for children as it connects and allows me to understand various environmental influenced on their play. It even talks about self-regulation which is very important for children and is something that educators and parents can come together to promote with their children. This document provided information in many aspects that can support educators' pedagogical documentation and we can bring it forth to parents to help them foster developmental experiences and promote child development at home.

These government documents are similar, however, the second version (the second link) of How Does Learning Happen? It is specifically for educators. I use these documents when planning and creating my responsive plans. It helps me understand the importance of belonging, expression, wellbeing and engagement. It allows me to understand the importance of these four topics as well as how to include, promote and foster these things within my program and experiences. As educators, we strive to make each child feel like they have a place in our programs where they belong and they can safely express themselves while engaging in experiences that will promote and are focused on their well-being and development.

I refer to this document when I am planning my responsive experiences to ensure that I am promoting and creating age-appropriate developmental experiences. This is an excellent resource for educators as well as parents to ensure that your child is developing according to their age and that you are planning experiences that meet their developmental goals as well as their abilities. If your experiences are too developmentally advanced the child(ren) may get frustrated and give up, creating a negative feeling about education. However, if you plan according to their current abilities and give them room for further development, you can encourage your child to develop to their fullest potential while associating positive feelings around education.

I enjoy using this song with my placement students to help with self-regulation. This is an excellent song to get the children to calm down and self-regulate after an over simulating activity, outdoor play, or just simply self-regulating and calming down.

I enjoy using this free resource to make templates for children's tools such as; song boards, "first we...then we" boards, daily schedules etc.
This was one of the most memorable videos I watched in one of my classes at Humber College. I remember after watching this video I felt so motivated and inspired. I remember sitting in class after watching this and I thought to myself that I wanted to make an impact in the Early Childhood Education field. I felt inspired and motivated to be the best educator possible to make difference in the lives of many children and their families. I think this is a video that every educator needs to watch to find that motivation and the meaning and importance behind teaching and being an educator.

I love this book! It is a great resource for mindfulness. I used this book with my JK/SK class. We had mindfulness time after lunch recess and the children would come in, close their eyes and listen to these poems. They helped with mindfulness and self-regulation. This book is highly recommended for parents and educators.

This book was lent to me by a parent in one of my placements. Her child was diagnosed with ASD and this resource helped me learn how to communicate with him and other children with diverse needs. Again, greatly recommended for parents and educators.
