APPEL
APPEL
Welcome to APPEL, a registered NGO committed to paving a pathway for vulnerable women, children, and male homeless individuals to reintegrate into society and enhance their quality of life. Established in 2006, APPEL has been dedicated to providing support, empowerment, and rehabilitation to those in need through a range of impactful programs.
Our programs are tailored to address the diverse needs of the people we serve. For male homeless individuals, our ARCH program offers a Day Care Programme launched in 2015, providing essential services such as meals, showers, and clean clothes, along with engaging activities like creative classes, sports, and field trips. Additionally, our Residential Rehabilitation Programme offers psycho-social support and a structured environment for holistic recovery.
For vulnerable women under our SAFE program, we have established an Empowerment Program since 2013, featuring a Drop-In Centre offering adult numeracy, IT classes, remedial classes, and psycho-social support. We also offer specialized workshops such as Entrepreneurial Workshops and Hairdressing Classes to equip women with valuable skills for economic empowerment.
Under our HEAL THE ROOTS initiative, we conduct awareness initiatives to promote our values and advocate for social change. Through projects like REMEMBER ME, we focus on promoting education for children and providing assistance to homeless women, ensuring access to integrated learning, character building activities, and essential support services.
To ensure sustainability and capacity building, our NO PAIN NO GAIN program focuses on training staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries. Through our training center and self-sustainability activities, such as manufacturing food items and craft items for fundraising, we aim to build a strong foundation for long-term impact.
Finally, our OPERATION QUILT initiative has been instrumental in promoting the rehabilitation of drug and alcohol addicts since 2006. With facilitated treatment programs and ongoing support, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those struggling with addiction.
At APPEL, we believe in the power of compassion, empowerment, and community collaboration to create positive change. Join us in our mission to uplift lives and build a brighter future for all.
