Meet Your Mentor

Sarah Hutton, M.L.I.S. (she/her)

Sarah is an academic research librarian and qualitative researcher in open knowledge production and an instructor in setting-up and teaching in maker spaces. She has experience with shared governance models in consortia, open publishing and data standards, and human-centered design and research. She has extensive experience in competency standards development and credentialing in maker literacies and makerspace training programmes. Formerly dean of libraries at a Carnegie R1 research-intensive university, she currently works primarily with the Internet of Production Alliance, as Research and Community Engagement Lead, with a research appointment at the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Public Policy.
