Mentoring Programme

In Support of Increasing Research Capacity for Innovative Manufacturing in Africa (IMA)

Introduction

This website is intended to provide guidance for using the impact indicators for makerspaces to meet the goals of the Innovative Manufacturing in Africa (IMA) Award Programme for increasing research capacity.

The goal of increasing research capacity, overall, is to provide the tools and resources needed to  effectively communicate the positive impact makerspaces have on surrounding communities to decision-makers such as government and policy-makers, funding agencies, and accreditors. IMA programme awardees have mentors to provide guidance throughout the process of this capacity building, by focusing on achievable goals (3 outputs) over the course of the programme.
