"Learning Sequences as Instructional Resources", Friday, 10:30-12:00

In this workshop, participants will discuss Levels of Inquiry theory for science teaching and then develop learning sequence resources. The teaching practices of Levels of Inquiry theory - discovery learning, interactive demonstrations, inquiry lessons, inquiry labs, and hypothetical inquiry - are suitable for use with any science topic at any level. This workshop is designed for teachers who want to see students develop the wide range of intellectual process skills linked with science literacy. Participants are requested to read Levels of inquiry: Hierarchies of pedagogical practices and inquiry processes prior to the start of the workshop.
