April 5-6, 2025 - Spring meeting of the
Illinois and Iowa Sections of ISAAPT
We would like you to save the dates of Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 to attend the Joint Spring Meeting of the Illinois and Iowa sections of AAPT at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. The theme is “The Future of Quantum and Education”.
We have three invited speakers: Dr. Thomas Searles from the University of Illinois-Chicago will give a public talk on Quantum Computing, Dr. Dale Stille from the University of Iowa will deliver a one-hour demo show, and Sanchia Sommers from the East Moline School District will host a workshop focused on inexpensive labs for teaching in high and middle school physics with giveaways.
When Registration opens, please submit 15-minute contributed talks and Take Fives. Undergraduates are especially encouraged to submit research talks to participate in our spring undergraduate talk awards! Please let any of your local hosts know if you have any questions.
