This exam, with a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes, consists of two sections: poetry and prose. In the poetry section, you will have the option to answer a question on one of two poems studied in class. In the prose section, you will have the opportunity to choose between responding to a question on a specific extract or addressing a question that pertains to the text as a whole.
Each question is worth 25 marks, and the entire exam counts for 50% of your grade.
Asking students to analyse an extract to prove that it presents such a specifc moment is a common question asked by iGCSE. Whilst this ins't a guaranteed question, it's a question worth understanding. Go through the slides to understand some possible types of moments and the different ways that you can comment on them.
