Training of Trainer Program

This Training of Trainer (ToT) program of IGC Campus teaches skilled professionals how to effectively train others, focusing on adult learning, instructional design, and facilitation to build internal training capacity, reduce costs, and ensure consistent skill development across an organization for onboarding, compliance, or upskilling. This program transforms subject matter experts (Vocational or SME field) or experienced managers into confident trainers, covering everything from planning sessions and managing groups to assessing learning outcomes for sustainable, scalable training.

Core Components of  ToT Our Program

• Adult Learning Principles: Understanding how adults learn best (andragogy).

• Training Psychology: Understand the key concepts of human behavior.

• Training Need Assessment: Develop skills to assess and understand the needs of trainers.

• Instructional Design: Creating clear learning objectives, content, and activities.

• Presentation ad Persuasion Skills: Practice sessions using effective skills and methods.

• Delivery & Facilitation: Facilitation, managing group dynamics, handling difficult participants, creating a positive environment.

• Assessment & Evaluation: Methods to assess trainee performance and measure training effectiveness.

• Practical Application: Hands-on practice, role-playing, and feedback. 

How It Works (The Model)

Potential trainers for this program are carefully selected from the applicants and it is an intensive training process where every trainer has to work hard to learn and earn the trainer status. Following process need to be followed to become a licensed trainer of IGC Campus.

1. Online Application: Every candidate has to complete the online application before 1st of February 2026 with the initial payment of Rs. 40,000.00.

2. Identify & Select: the candidates are invited for an interview and those who are with strong job knowledge and good interpersonal skills will be selected. The interviews will be conducted in the 2nd week of February 2026. Second payment of ToT fee, Rs. 40,000.00 need to be paid before the training is started.

3. Intensive Training: This is an eight day intensive training program that consist of four in-person workshops (in  Colombo) and 4 online sessions (4 hours each). Required participation to qualify is 95%.

4. Return to Workplace: In this teach back phase the newly trained "trainers" has to deliver real sessions to selected target groups. Remaining ToT fee of Rs. 40,000.00 need to be paid before the certification of trainers.

5. Certification and Licensing: IGC Campus will certify the trainers who completed the due learning process with outstanding performance.
