The Conference Registration and Hotel Reservation system uses the same URL as the Abstract Submission system:
https://amarys-jtb.jp/ICSD2026/
For presenters: please use the same account that you used to submit your abstract.
Abstract submission and registration will use the same system.
Abstract submission is closed on January 5, 2026.
The Conference Registration and Hotel Reservation system is open on February 16 and will close on April 3, 2026.
Although we don't have an early bird discount, we strongly recommend finishing the registration as early as possible.
Due to the capacity limit of the venue, registration for participants who don't give presentations might be restricted. If the number of registrations approaches the limit of the venue, we may close the registration system before April 3.
Due to the venue’s capacity limit, registration for participants who do not give presentations is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. If registrations approach the venue limit, we may need to close registration and/or cancel non-presenting registrations.
If a registration must be canceled after payment has been made, a refund will be processed through the registration system. Please note that refund processing may take time and could be completed in April.
80,000 JPY (approx. 540 USD / 460 EUR)
We offer social programs to registered participants free of charge.
If you wish to add accompanying persons, please indicate when you register. Additional fees will apply. For more details of social programs, see the Social Programs page.
You need to pay the fee by April 3. Payments after this date will not be accepted.
We strongly encourage you to stay at the conference venue hotel (Shimonoseki Grand Hotel), if possible.
For the conference period, the hotel has blocked all rooms for ICSD 2026 participants, and bookings can only be made through the ICSD 2026 registration system (i.e., rooms are not available through public hotel booking websites). Staying on-site will be the most convenient option during the conference. The hotel is also located next to the seafood market and a nearby restaurant/shopping area.
Please note, however, that the number of rooms is limited and cannot accommodate all participants. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend booking as early as possible.
If you prefer to stay at the venue, Shimonoseki Grand Hotel, you can reserve rooms at the time of registration. Please visit the About the venue page for details of the rooms and rates.
Conference registration: cancellations made before April 3, 2026, will receive a full refund.
Hotel reservations made on our registration system: cancellation and full reimbursement are possible up to 21 days before check-in.
We provide financial support of 30,000 JPY for students presenting at the conference.
The applicant must be a student on the day of the conference, meaning you have not yet been officially awarded a doctoral degree.
Eligible students can apply for support when submitting their abstract.
In the unlikely event that applications exceed our budget, we would use a fair random selection.
We also provide financial support (30,000 yen) for participants from developing countries who will present at the conference.
If you would like to request this support, please contact us at icsd2026.shimonoseki@gmail.com with a 100-word justification for your request. The local organizing committee will then determine whether you are eligible.
Please note, however, that the amount of support we can offer is limited and depends on several factors, including the total funds available and the number of applicants. Therefore, we cannot currently guarantee that this financial support will be available. Because the number of recipients will necessarily be restricted, we kindly ask that you make a request only if attendance would otherwise be impossible.
If you are a graduate student from a developing country, you may apply for either Student Presenter Travel Stipend or this financial support, but not both.
Even if you are selected to receive this financial support, you will first need to pay the regular registration fee (80,000 yen) when you register, and then you will receive the support (30,000 yen) at the venue on June 1.
